Carb Heaven- Polish Bakery

I don’t usually buy any bread as I prefer other kind of carbs – real and unprocessed like chickpeas, bulgur, grains… The supermarket kinda bread is quite unhealthy and you can really do without it..! Some of these breads and rolls you see on shelves in supermarket have shelf life of 6-12 months which is absolutely ridiculous and makes you wonder what kind of preservatives and other bad ingredients they make them with.

However I have a big weakness for real, freshly baked sourdough bread – when I was a little girl we lived near bakery and I remember the smell in the air in the mornings and buying still warm and round loafs of bread. Polish bread is definitely different and never really came across anything in the UK that could match it …. that is until I discovered the Wembley based Polish Bakery opened and started supplying bread to supermarkets like Waitrose.

 

Yesterday I attended the launch of their new healthy range of bread, with chia seeds. I think I must have tried every kind yesterday ( all their breads are 100% vegan) but my absolute favourite was sourdough bread with cranberries and another one with pumpkin seeds. Could I eat it every day? Probably but I can’t just stop myself and have only a little – it is just too good.

 I am not the only one who loves it! Polish Tennis player Agnieszka Radwanska is a huge fan of their pumpkin seed bread too.
