The Need for Seeds

Today whilst on my way to Planet Organic in London’s busy Devonshire Square, I picked up a copy of the Coach Magazine which is a mag for busy city boys who want / should try and get fit. Inspired by their article ‘The Need for Seeds’ I quickly created a BEAUTIFUL delicious protein packed smoothie using all the miracle seeds: Chia, Pumpkin, Sunflower, Hemp and Flax.

“Seeds contain all the nutrients and power to produce plants hundreds of times their size so it makes perfect sense to hijack the potential and add them to your diet” and below you will find a recipe to get all this goodness in at once.

You will need:

1 banana

1 avocado

4-5 spoonds chia seeds

1 teaspoon hemp seed

1 teaspoon flax seed

Half a glass of coconut milk for Chia Seeds Layer

Half a glass of coconut milk for Banana/ Avocado layer.

For extra health benefits I added : Blue Algae Powder ( you can add Spirulina or Chlorella) and Tumeric Powder .


Blend Banana, Avocado, Flax seeds and hemp seeds with half a teaspoon of turmeric powder.

Soak Chia in Coconut Milk for an hour and add blue algae powder.
